Embassy Day 20/11/07

My Chinese work permit arrived first thing so down to the Embassy for my work visa. Very friendly queue in the rain. Spoke to a nice English kid who was going to a tiny place in the middle of nowhere to study Tai Chi for a year. I think I'm not quite ready to give up reading, beer. TV, coversation, *&%$ etc, but you've got to admire the attitude of the guy! Got my visa no problem. It wasn't the visa I requested, but the inscrutable ones have a great way of dealing with queries of this nature-they don't speak Engish! Flying out on Wed 28th Nov. 11.30 Heathrow. Still need to let my flat......
